Great news for Businesses: 5G Ultra coming to Apple iPhone 15 & 16 series with iOS 18

Calling all business owners and mobile professionals: Vodafone is excited to announce that 5G Ultra, their next-level mobile network, is expanding to include the iPhone 15 and 16 series!

This means you can experience the full power of 5G with the upcoming iOS 18 software update.

What’s the difference between 5G Ultra and regular 5G?

Previously, Vodafone offered 5G (also known as Non-standalone 5G). This technology layered a 5G radio network on top of their existing 4G infrastructure. While it delivered speeds up to 10 times faster than 4G (averaging 150-200 Mbps), 5G Ultra takes things a step further.

Here’s what makes 5G Ultra so powerful:

Truly Standalone: 5G Ultra connects directly to Vodafone’s brand new 5G core network, unlocking its full potential.

Enhanced Coverage: More people can connect to the network simultaneously, meaning better coverage for businesses across the UK.

Improved Battery Life: Say goodbye to battery anxiety! 5G Ultra allows your devices to last up to 25% longer on a single charge.

Faster & More Reliable: Experience lightning-fast speeds and ultra-low latency (down to 1 millisecond!) for seamless real-time applications.

Getting Started with 5G Ultra on iPhone 15 & 16:

Update to iOS 18: This software update is essential to access 5G Ultra on your iPhone.

Check your SIM: For devices with a physical SIM issued before April 2022 or an eSIM activated before January 2024, you’ll need a replacement SIM to use 5G Ultra.

Ready to experience the future of business mobility?

To get 5G Ultra, you’ll need a 5G Ultra-enabled device, an eligible business mobile plan, and to be in an area covered by Vodafone’s 5G Ultra network. In areas without 5G Ultra, you can use Vodafone’s 5G or 4G network. Your 5G Ultra device will then automatically reconnect to the 5G Ultra network once you’re back in a 5G Ultra area.
