Our Christmas Charities 2020

Tela is proud to work with a number of local and national charities and community organisations in supporting the work they do and helping them to make a difference to those in need. This year we aimed to positively impact those in need by donating £2,500 to 23 charitable causes and by raising awareness of all the work that they do.

Every year, our employees are committed to supporting many great causes and play a huge role in making a difference.

Our chosen charities for 2020 are below:

Guideposts Trust

Guideposts is a charity that supports people living with long term conditions, disability, or caring responsibilities to improve their mental health and wellbeing and feel included in their local communities.

Goleudy

A housing charity, based in South Wales that support and help prevent homelessness, provide housing and create opportunities, they strive to create connections for people who experience homelessness, housing crisis or trauma.

Minchinhampton Centre for the Elderly

Minchinhampton Centre for the Elderly – Horsfall House, provides accommodation for older people. with two units, one for nursing care and the other for people with dementia.

GAIN; Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition

The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is a Swiss-based foundation launched at the United Nations in 2002 to tackle the human suffering caused by malnutrition.

Yardley Great Trust Group

The Group consists of registered charities that help people in south-east Birmingham relieve poverty amongst individuals/families and provides sheltered housing for independent older people living in or around Yardley.

Worcester Association of Carers

Worcestershire Association of Carers is a registered charity that was founded in 1997 providing an independent source of information, advice and support for unpaid adult carers in Worcestershire.

Mind (Monmouthshire)

Mind provide advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. They campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of the issues people can face.

20:20

20:20 empowers young people aged 11-19 years to build confidence and make positive choices in their relationships, health and education.

BCHA

BCHA are a non-profit, registered Housing Association that has been supporting the local community including those experiencing homelessness and abuse for a number of years.

Albert Kennedy Trust

Albert Kennedy Trust is a voluntary organisation based in England, created in 1989 to serve lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people who are homeless or living in hostile environments.

The Oaklea Trust

The Oaklea Trust is a charitable organisation whose sole purpose is to give vulnerable people the opportunity to live and work as independently as possible within their community.

Unique Fundraising Ltd

Unique Fundraising has a long and successful history of working with charities of all kinds and providing them with valuable, long term supporters to help them to achieve their business goals.

Age UK Wigan

Age UK Wigan is an independent charity that supports older people in the borough of Wigan.

Wigan & Leigh Hospice

Wigan and Leigh Hospice is a charity which provides palliative and end-of-life care to people across Wigan who have been diagnosed with an illness which is no longer curable.

British Refugee Council

British Refugee Council is the only organisation in the UK providing a national service in support of refugee children and young people who arrive in the UK alone.

Royal College of Midwives

The RCM is the voice of midwifery and is the only professional organisation and trade union dedicated to serving midwifery and the whole midwifery team.

Age UK Lincoln & Kesteven

Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire have been providing support and services for people over the age of 50 for over 60 years in the local area.

Woldmarsh Producers Ltd
